About Us

The Surveyors Registration Board is established by the Surveyors Registration Act Cap 275 to regulate and control the profession and activities of Registered Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Valuation Surveyors and advise the Government in relation to those functions.

The Board

The board consists of a chairperson and nine other members appointed by the Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development from a list of registered surveyors recommended by the Institution. Members of the board hold office for two years and are eligible for reappointment. The day-to-day duties of the board are handled by the registrar/secretary to the board, who is appointed by the board and holds and vacates office pursuant to the terms and conditions of his or her appointment. 

The board works under direct supervision of the Ministry of Lands, Housing & Urban Development and Ministry of Works & Transport.

The surveying profession is categorized in 4 disciplines i.e Land surveying, Valuation surveying, Mining and hydrological surveyors.
